Портативная версия программы предоставлена разработчиком, не требует инсталляции на ПК. Распространяется в виде авторских архивов по причине высокой степени сжатия и наличия в архивах файлов нулевой длины, с контрольными суммами.
Сжатые версии данной программы предназначены для версий Windows XP - 7 (x86 / x64) распаковываются в папку C:\Program Files с соответствующей разрядностью системы и настройки данной версии не сохраняются портабельно. VST плагины должны иметь соответствующую разрядность системы (x86 / x64) чтобы не замедлять работу OpenMPT.
